School Lunches & Healthy Snacks

Hot meals are available throughout the year for anyone who wishes to have them, provided they have ordered.

The menu for Stoberry Park is supplied by The Fabulous Lunch Company.

The menu works on a four weekly rota and should be booked for each half term.

You can order as many or as few meals per week as you wish.

The choice at the moment is from a main dish, a vegetarian dish and a jacket potato with filling. Salad and bread are provided daily. We can also provide a seperate menu for pupils with allergens eg. Dairy Free, Gluten Free etc. This can be collected from the school office. A pudding is provided but can be changed to a yogurt or a piece of fruit. We also provide a choice of packed lunches with a yogurt, fruit and a cookie for school trips.

Bread and water is provided every day.

Any requests for meals need to be ordered by the end of each Tuesday the week before the meals will be served,  so that the The Fabulous Lunch Company kitchen can cater to our requirements.

The cost of meals: One meal and a dessert costs £2.70

Healthy Snacks

All families are asked to provide their child with a healthy snack..  Guidance on appropriate snacks can be seen in the ACE 'Happy Snacking Advice' leaflet below.

Mid Morning & Afternoon Snacks

To encourage healthy eating, it is important to reduce overall snacking and concentrate on healthy meal times; however, we recognise that children do need energy as they grow and develop to keep them active and focused. As children get older snacks become less important in their overall diet. Snacks between meals should be healthy, high in nutrients but LOW in sugar, salt and fat.

Children in our reception and Key Stage 1 classes (Oak, Hazel, Ash, Rowan and Willow) will have a healthy snack provided by the Government's free fruit and vegetables scheme.  We ask that parents send an additional healthy snack for them to eat at a given point during the day.  Children in Key Stage 2 (all other classes) should have a healthy snack sent from home each day.  Here are some suggestions:
